Has a ways to go for specific industries (curtain wall), pretty great otherwise

The Ultimate Coordination Tool
製品を使ってみた感想: I really enjoy Revit for design and construction administration changes.
良いポイント:
The coordination of using Revit is wonderful. Using it between multiple disciplines can be extremely powerful. Mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil, and plumbing coordination is very good.
改善してほしい点:
If the libraries are not properly established or standards are not implemented it can be difficult to work in multiple models at once because of the variations.
Big fan of Revit
製品を使ってみた感想: I work for a technology design consultant, which is usually the last one in construction sharing space with other disciplines - Revit make that so much easier thna in the past.
良いポイント:
Massive improvement over CAD. 3/D Clash detection feature.

Some confusion in learning availability of family choices

Hard to use electrically
製品を使ってみた感想: Overall Revit is a great program that is an essential tool in the MEP industry. Any time I start a new project I hope that the arch is using Revit over autocad
良いポイント:
Overall revit has alot of good features for integrating engineering systems with a project. having families link between arch/mech/plbg/fp/elec models and have parameters that interact with each other helps to maintain consistent coordination.
改善してほしい点:
Electrically revit seems to lag behind quite a bit. Lighting design is still quite difficult to implement in a model. Quite frequently electrically you have to work against revit to get the proper info to show up which can be frustrating. i hope new systems to help display lighting controls are implemented.
The architecture and construction industry standard BIM software for a reason.
製品を使ってみた感想: I often hear that people either love or disdain Revit in the architecture profession, but even with it's downsides there is a reason it is the industry standard for BIM because of its vast menu of capabilities.
良いポイント:
Revit has many integrated features as a BIM software that makes difficult tasks on prior CAD software seem simple and finally attainable.
改善してほしい点:
Where Revit is rich in feature based options and 'type based' sequencing, it can also feel too formulaic at times when needing to focus on the design side of a project.
Revit is worth the time to learn to use
製品を使ってみた感想: I am a decades long AutoCad user, switched to Revit in the last few years. The switch over was fairly simple. Working with models already created to manipulate them is quite intuitive, creating stairs, roofs and schedules is challenging.
良いポイント:
The ease at which a building design can be changed, multiple ideas and concepts can be explored.
改善してほしい点:
There are some simple tasks in AutoCad that are made much more difficult in Revit. The ability to create tables by just adding the data yourself is very difficult. Schedules in general are tricky to set up
