The experience of unsubscribing left me totally appalled at their complete indifference, rationale and integrity as a business. > > My experience with AnyDesk has left me feeling trapped by a subscription I no longer wanted or used. I used the software a few years ago, and my subscription continued to renew automatically, with the cost increasing substantially over time. Despite not using it for several years, I kept paying. When I tried to cancel, I found the process difficult and was unable to complete it. I then emailed AnyDesk directly to ask them to cancel. They told me I was within one month of the automatic annual renewal date and could no longer cancel the upcoming renewal. I explained that I hadn’t used the software for years but had still been paying for it and now wanted the subscription to end. Instead of resolving this, they demanded payment for another full year and referred the matter to debt collectors—even after I had made clear that I wasn’t using the service and didn’t want to continue. In my view, this approach is predatory and shows no goodwill toward customers. What should have been a straightforward cancellation became an incredibly unpleasant experience. Costing me another $851 that I will not get any value for. Be very careful before signing up and think about who you are getting involved with.
