We like NCM

製品を使ってみた感想： We used NCM as a replacement for Cisco Prime Infrastructure. We have no regrets in moving away from Prime and into NCM, it's been a great tool for us in managing all of our switches and routers.

良いポイント:

The user interface is very easy to navigate, it was very easy to get all of our devices into NCM and get them backed up. Writing configlets for common tasks (like an ios upgrade) was very easy.

改善してほしい点:

The Compliance module is not the easiest to work with. Some of the features don't work as expected, it was somewhat difficult to get it to run a configlet automatically when it encountered a policy violation. That part never worked very well.

Beside managing the appliances, NCM can be very useful once Disaster happen as it can be backup and failover/export features.

Overall okay, but it could be great if dashboard improved a bit. just my 2 cent opinion.

While it’s functional and offers a lot of features, it can sometimes feel cluttered and a bit overwhelming for those who are new to the platform. It takes some time to get familiar with all the options and navigate efficiently. The initial setup can also be quite complex, especially in larger environments with multiple devices. Integrating it into an existing network might require more time and technical know-how than you might expect. Lastly, while the tool supports a wide range of devices, there can occasionally be compatibility issues with less common or newer hardware, requiring more manual configuration or waiting for updates.

A Great tool for Automating and scheduling Network configuration

製品を使ってみた感想： ManageEngine Network Configuration Manager saved lot of time, effort and cost by providing all the inventory in a single dashboard. Also automating task, scheduling and upgrading appliance OS is very simple and time saving.

NCM has been treating us well

製品を使ってみた感想： Overall, we are very happy with NCM. ManageEngine support has always been top notch when we've needed support configuring things/troubleshooting.

NCM has made managing our network devices super streamlined. We really like how easy it was to discover devices, add credentials, etc. It is super convenient to have all switches accessible from the same interface and SSH into them. The configlets are great as well. Very affordable as well.

It was throwing errors while adding the devices it might be the credentials issue or template issue. We need to dig into logs for easy to troubleshoot the issue.

Great platform for smaller buisness

Quite extensive with features. the configlets are easy to use and quite practical. The list of recommended version for each device is one of the main reason we got this product.

There are small things here and there that could be annoying when you are migrating; menus refreshing after almost each operations, when doing some actions you are sent to an other place in the page and can't go back without navigating the menu again. nothing critical but can take some time when doing big jobs.

All the configurations can be backed up on regular basis which is very vital for any organization with vast variety of devices and models. We have been using this product for a long time and will continue doing it.
