Trustpilot also has ways to spot fake reviews, so you know the feedback you’re reading is more likely to be real. Businesses can respond to reviews too, so they’re held responsible for how they treat customers. For example, a couple of months ago I had a terrible experience with a travel company. I was not having any luck with them. I attempted to post my complaint to BBB, but for some reason they rejected my complaint. I tried again and they said it was a duplicate complaint and rejected it. I came to Trustpilot to let others know of my experience and hopefully hear from someone higher up in the business. Because of Trustpilot, I received a call directly from the company and a full refund. Thank you, Trustpilot!

Lastly, there is a delay between the submission of feedback and it being posted to the website. This can take a lengthy amount of time, which can be cumbersome.

I love the validity that TrustPilot reviews give for a business. The implementation of the connection between our woocommerce site and TrustPilot was seemless. The dashboard for managing reviews is also super user friendly.

The cost for TrustPilot for a small business is our biggest painpoint. We would love to be able to utilize the "full suite" of options but it is a bit too steep for our budget at this time.

As a consumer, there is little chance to modify or update reviews once they have been made, you can't add a reply, so if the supplier sends you a white widget by mistake, and you ordered a green widget, then supplier makes a false claim, saying we sent you a green widget, there is no continuance of thread.That example could allow occasional complaints to be glossed over, on the other hand, if the company responded and said we're sending a green widget today, and you then wished to edit, or reply and change overall opinion and rating you cannot, again as an end user.

I feel that it also creates a sense of trust that I am able to have my customers write a potential product feedback. My rating is 10/10 and I continue to use Trust Pilot in the future both professionally and personal.

There are numerous fake accounts on the platform attempting to 'seed,' which can sometimes lead to inflated and biased ratings, making them less reliable. Additionally, I've encountered an issue with the feedback received from brands after leaving a negative review. It often feels robotic and unhelpful, with a lack of genuine efforts to address my concerns, as they tend to provide excuses rather than solutions.
