インポートやエクスポート時に書式まで合わせて実施することができないため、レイアウト等がずれることがある。また、オフライン時に作業には初期状態では対応されていない。公式の拡張機能があるため、別途インストールする必要がある。

製品を使ってみた感想： 操作感がよく、容易に導入可能で、運用コストもかからない良サービスだと感じる。

良いポイント:

導入が容易く使いやすい。やはり、ＷＯＲＤに比べると多少使いにくい部分、例えばフィルター機能や、ＰＤＦを編集可能文章ファイルへの変換、コメント機能など、があるが、導入がしやすく運用コストもほぼかからないのに、ほぼ同じことができる。

改善してほしい点:

前述した通り、フィルター機能や、ＰＤＦを編集可能文章ファイルへの変換がまだうまく対応できていない部分があるのかと感じる。

ドキュメント作成ツールのスタンダード

製品を使ってみた感想： 社内の書類を管理する上ではクラウド上に保管できることもあり、現状これより良い製品はないのではないかと思う。

良いポイント:

ブラウザ上でドキュメントを作成、編集でき、いつでもどこでも操作ができる点。

ワードとの互換性が完璧ではなく、表示が崩れる場合があること。

製品を使ってみた感想： It is just "Oh my goodness!" Stupid simple and immensely inspiring! Useful. Helpful. Adorable.

良いポイント:

User-friendly, flexible, responsive, customizable and overwhelmingly great! Easy-to-use on Linux OS (my OS - Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.5 LTS (Bionic Beaver), I am a PC user). I really like their multiple functions, such as: creating complex documents with tables, different splendid fonts, background colors, in bold and cursive fonts. Flexible and comfy using bullet points or ordered listing, page numbering, first-line indentation, interline spacing. Adjustable using hyperlinks and styles deleting. It is fast and easy to create, share and delete documents, modify them, download and save in .doc or .pdf. It is absolutely free, stable, secure and trustworthy service which is indispensable for e-learning, edutainment, studies, research work and online tutoring. Besides, you can use this spectacularly simple service as a note-taking app or even a draft of your blog or bullet journal! Whatever you want to type down: bucket list, to-do list, grocery list, motivation letter draft, CV or resume, it is always comfy, flexible and useful! Easy to use, easy to customize, easy to modify, save, download and delete! I have not mentioned other functions as inserting some files (pictures) or creating slides or optical character recognition, but I have never checked these functions, that's why I have described just common functionality which is pleasant and helpful for any task completion! As I said: it is smart, simple and impressively good! I am really grateful that such a service exists.

Well, for some weird reason I cannot check for sure how OCR works there. Besides, my hardware is a little bit outdated, that's why something like "inserting pictures" might malfunction on my OS.

Google Docs is an easy-to-use word processing program. It has all of the needed elements to create and share a document of any size. It integrates seamlessly with other Google products. Sharing is an easy task that can be done for others to view or to collaborate.

The downside of using Google Docs is that it operates the majority of the time in the cloud, so no internet access can be detrimental.

製品を使ってみた感想： While the program isn't perfect, Google Docs is by far the most easily accessible and widely used word editing programs. It excels at what it needs to do, but lacks on what it could do.

To start, Docs get's everything you need done. Editing, typing, sharing—it's all easily done. In a school or work environment, the commenting mode and ability to share documents easily makes working extremely efficient. In comparison, a traditional document editor would require you to manually send the file, have the other party edit it, then send it back. In docs, being able to instantly see any edits or comments another person makes is a huge time-saver. Docs is also extremely compatible with other types of files, and even can transcribe PDF files. It's also capable of converting your current doc into other formats, which is helpful since you won't have to use a third-party website/application to do so. While being a common feature in other editing programs, the auto save feature is handy, as it saves every time a change is made, even if it's just a single letter. On top of that, Docs also stores previous versions of your document, which I personally found very useful when back-referencing older revisions of essays and other papers. Lastly, Docs runs constant grammar and spelling checks, which is great for when you are typing in a rush and misspell a word or type something out awkwardly. Not only that, but the detection is always improving, and is even able to detect proper nouns (like names) and recognize that they aren't spelled wrong because they are meant to be spelled that way.

Despite it's strengths, Google Docs holds a few annoying points. A major disappointment lies in the lack of font support. While some of the major, non-standard fonts like IBM Plex Sans are available, a majority of the fonts that are available aren't well-known or widely used, which led me to using the same 4-5 fonts over and over again. There is no option to add third-party fonts either, which isn't ideal for those of us that have a selection of them on our computers. Despite Doc's simple design, it's actually a huge resource hog for both internet bandwidth and RAM. While it may not be noticeable on a decent computer, it's especially noticeable on computers that aren't from the last 4 years or so. Loading Docs onto my laptop from a few years ago brought it to its knees, and forced me to use an alternative. While Docs has plenty of shortcuts for its most commonly used tools, not every tool has a shortcut. On top of that, there are no options to bind our own shortcuts to a tool, which is a huge problem for those of us that have to write heavily formatted, non-traditional styled documents. Lastly, table creation and editing in Docs is still yet to be ideal. Each line in a table is treated as a separate line, meaning that you have to either edit each line or all the lines at once, which makes it inconvenient to create visually appealing tables.

It's hard to think of a time when I didn't use it, but I know that my organization, productivity, and collaboration have all improved in that time. Google has done a very nice job with this product, and they are always rolling out new features and quality-of-life improvements.

Every single thing about Google Docs is collaborative, and that is a must-have feature nowadays. All work is automatically saved, the revision history allows me to look back through every single keystroke, and there are so many collaborative features that allow me to work with colleagues in a variety of ways. All documents can easily be shared, copied, and modified in quick fashion. I honestly like everything about this product!

改善してほしい点:

There isn't much to dislike here. If pressed, I guess that I would say that there could be more template options to work with, but that is a very minor complaint. Everything about this product seems well thought out.

製品を使ってみた感想： Google Docs is a free document management app with all the features that I could find in paid apps. It works well, I can export as PDFs or other extensions I need.

Best platform to manager documents and have them coedited across teams, organizations. Flexible and understandable UI on top of easy online editing. Almost every user has years of experience or familiarity with the tool. Easily extends filemanagement via apps on other devices and even phones. A lot of integrations available with existing CRMs and other tools.

Sometimes copies can become annoying and get to be created mistakenly or due to sharing complexity. The tool works only online. Some utilities are done in an interesting manner which is not straighworfard.

製品を使ってみた感想： Even if free and only web-based Google Docs works exactly as the paid version of other document managements/creatiion apps. It is integrated in Google Drive wich makes documents management and storage easy and secured.

Google Docs is the free alternative to Office pack from Microsoft. Using web-based apps is great because all the documents are stored safely in Google Drive and are available from any device, sharing, editing and updating them when needed. Another great feature is that is easy to share and giving permissions for editing or viewing to other colleagues.

Sometimes is hard to format the documents when they are imported.

Collaboration Made Easy

製品を使ってみた感想： Google Docs has completely changed the game of team collaboration and organization. I use Google Docs every day and it's so simple to create, organize and share documents across multiple team members. It saves so much time in having to save out a doc, organize it in a folder somewhere, attach it to an email, get the doc back with edits, etc. So much easier to create one document, share it directly from the Google platform to whomever needs access (and even control the type of access they have - PLUS!) and then allow the collaboration to happen within that same document. I could go on on it's ease of use, but overall...If you're looking for a tool to increase productivity and efficiency within collaboration, then Google Docs is it.

I don't like that there's not a better way to cross integrate Google Docs with other serve style/ storage platforms. We do a lot of work that includes a mix of documents and design files, and storing those files with Google Docs can be a bit cumbersome. I also wish there were more robust formulas and abilities within the Google Sheets platform. There are third party integrations that can easily be added into Google Sheets to make it more robust, but it would be easier if it was already integrated into it.

I am able to keep track of files and data, all the time knowing that it is taken care of and won't ever be deleted. I don't have to worry about a computer crash or anything of the sort. Google keeps things organized and efficient.

I love how you can customize your storage for whatever use you need. Pictures, text, audio, it can all find a home. Personally, I use Drive everywhere, and the fact that I can take it anywhere is very convenient. I can access files anywhere I have a computer or my phone. For my work I use drive with my students. They can submit their own files to me for assignments and I can grade them using Drive in concert with Google Classroom. It is seamless and saves so much time.

I feel like the only thing this service could do better would be an easier way to find and locate files within the drive system. Sometimes it takes a little too long to track down a particular file or folder. I think part of that is because I am used to a 'desktop' format and this is not set up in that way.

I assume by now everyone knows about Google Docs. It is one of a handful of tools that don't require non-users to login to use it. This makes it easy to collaborate with others, share key info with investors/advisors, and not have to give them another username and password to remember.

When you login and have more than one open account, it keeps asking you which account you're trying to use. There should be a way to prevent that from occurring every time.

製品を使ってみた感想： My overall experience with Google Docs has been nothing but great. I have been able to accomplish a lot of my assignments at my job with the use of this software. I will be recommending this to anyone who is looking for a low to no cost word processor.

Collaborations are one of the biggest pros about this software. One copy and one copy only of a file is available and users can share this one copy, in real time simultaneously, and they can add modifications, update, and key in some data simultaneously as well. Any sort of document modifications are automatically traced with editor and time information. This is really cool because it allows you to see who made any sort of changes to the document, when said changes were made, and you can also revert back to an older version before those changes were even made! Talk about not having to worry about the inconveniences of power outages, unintentionally closing a browser window, or perhaps accidentally spilling coffee on your laptop/desktop. Easy access to documents is another pro considering that all you need is a computer or any mobile device that can connect to the internet such as a Samsung Galaxy, iPhone, iPad, Google Pixel, etc. Sharing documents that consists of maybe some classroom group assignments, online school projects, or a little lecture with interactions are amazingly easy. Imagine a conference where the designated speaker starts off with "Let's all jump in and brainstorm some questions or comments with the shared Google doc." Attendees are able to connect from a number of devices and are able to interact with the speaker, and add any sort of comments or questions. It's quite a new way to get more people to engage in the meeting.

The only thing I feel that could be improved is probably the way that they go about the printing since it's not exactly straight forward like it is in Microsoft Word. Just a tad bit more complex but nothing too serious. Other than that I have no other issues with Google Docs.

Without a connection can save my files for editing offline but I wanna be able to use Google Docs even in areas without a connection and that's the only issue for me. aI think this issue can be fixed by embedding the web app to Google chrome for offline use

製品を使ってみた感想： Google Docs revolutionized the way that I was able to study and manage projects. My story: In an accelerated Nursing program I convinced more than half of the class to study and create notes for exams together on the same template in google docs. It cut the work by 80%!!! Say hello to collaboration 101 in this amazing tool. We, like-minded folk with a singular purpose, were able to divide and conquer. This led to honesty issues but thankfully Google Docs allows for you to see all past edits and who performed them. Thus by the end of the first quarter classmates were able to hold each other accountable for the work that needed to be input into this document. All in all this was an invaluable resource to me and the best part is that I still have access to all of the shared work online. If i ever need to look back upon the classwork that we did together I can review some advanced physiology or pharmacology on the run with my phone or tablet.

There are very few cons to this software: First: you can only edit information if you have a google account. (But this is so easy to setup and most people already have a google email address so its almost never a problem.) Second: There could be preset templates so that the information being added would auto format to make everything appear uniform.

A student, writer, editor or researcher's dream

Google Docs is great for writing and collaborating on written projects because it keeps a "Version History" of the document that is easy to access and easy to read. It also shows you in the right margin who has made what changes to the document (so you can easily determine which version you want to see even if you don't remember exactly when). Similar to a "Track Changes" option on Word or Pages, but better, Google Docs offers a "Suggesting Mode" where your changes are visible and can be "accepted" or "rejected." This is ideal for when you want to suggest a change to the text and I use it often when marking or grading students' papers to show them how they might have reworded something, offering suggestions on their drafts, peer-reviewing friends' papers or proposals, and so forth. There is also a comments function, which is again different from what you'd find on Word or Pages because you can see the comments right there on the right margin of the document instead of having to 'click' on the comment to see what it says... The Outline function is extraordinarily useful as well, as it automatically compiles an 'outline' of your paper based on your titles/headers. This is perfect for organizing notes or long documents with multiple sections. Docs is also great for sharing as it allows you to share a file as "View-Only" or editable, and either by email invitation to the file or by distributing the link. There are also tons of add-ons...

There are no obvious issues with Google Docs, though considering how many people use Docs for writing projects or papers, it would be nice if there were more document types. There are dedicated writing softwares (such as Scrivener) that essentially break down one larger written draft into multiple sections that are compiled into one. It would be good for Docs to consider something along those lines, as I use it religiously for everything from taking meeting minutes to organizing recipes I want to try, but I avoid writing longer documents on Docs because it takes too long to scroll up and down.

Everyone can access and edit through a link, even if they don't have a Gmail account to sign into. I often work with faculty to help them set up collaborate documents for class, or to show their students how to use Google Docs and similar Google products for their group work and share with their professor so they can check on their progress as needed.
It has eliminated the need to email versions of files back and forth.

It's always improving, either in response to features that comparable software (MS Word, Open Office) has added or in response to user requests. We asked for columns; they gave it to us. It's quite user-friendly and works well with imports and exports from/to MS Word. This is extremely important to me because I'm a Chromebook user so Google Docs is all my laptop uses but when I download a copy in MS Word to upload assignment submissions for my doctoral courses, it works perfectly. I'm actually doing my entire dissertation in GoogleDocs. I love that you can look up the version history- it makes it easy to find any missing text from an accidental deletion or misedit, and also to track who did what if everyone is signed in with a Gmail account.

Nothing, really. Even if features don't exist, there's nearly always a free Add-On via the Chrome store. For example, I wanted a quick way to turn text into alternate capitalization types (all lowercase, all uppercase, title case, invert, etc.) I found a quick add-on and I have a short-cut. I've also added add-ons like a more extensive chart builder for in-text charts and tables and a Word Cloud Generator, which not only creates an image but gives me a word count of each word occurrence to help me do text analysis.

I also use the spreadsheets with information about my work, which I have to have at my disposal. Something that we do in my work, my colleagues and I is to open a document and start brainstorming for photo sessions or a project that we should do, in this way there is a written record and everyone collaborates. I really like to work online and with the Google Drive cloud because I can create a document with my smartphone and continue it when I get home or work, on the PC or on the tablet. You have to keep in mind that it has certain limitations, but to be a free tool, it's fine.

What I like most is that I have access to these tools simply with my Gmai account and it's completely free. The documents are stored in Google Drive and are synchronized quickly, so I 've access from any device, I can create and edit them online. It's very useful to save automatically while I create and edit them, so I don't need to be careful to save every 5 minutes. Facilitate collaborative work by allowing other users to edit documents. They can also be shared only through a link.

When I use spreadsheets and I've many sheets, opening them and editing them becomes slow, the same happens if it's an extensive spreadsheet or with many formulas. It's quite annoying because sometimes it can freeze, so I've to close and open the window again. The good thing is that it always saves the changes, so I don't worry about losing information, but closing and opening the window from time to time is quite annoying. The text editor doesn't have all the visible tools in a simple way, so you should look well in the interface until you find what you want to do.

The best thing I liked about this software is the seamless collaboration. I can start a blank tab in the android app, and continue the work on chrome device/ laptop. We can work in a group if my colleague shares something I would know it immediately and can edit it if I want. It is also very useful for making notes, as if I get an idea at a random moment, I can easily share it with Google Docs, and it is automatically shared realtime in Drive. Genius! There are so many styles of texts, tables; we can highlight words and phrases, and hit explore to research; we can even upload an image to convey information better. The ease of access, particularly the spell check is extraordinary. Voice typing is the best thing in the world, I can speak matter worth one hour of typing in ten to fifteen minutes. Great google assistant enabled in-app. Overall, it is pretty much perfect simplest document app/program. It crashed only one time in more than three years of use. The app version has very less features than the web version. I would love if there was a choice of background, dark mode is everywhere. There should have an option to add documents to home screen. Another option, "pick up where I left off" is missing, it is boring it always starts in the beginning. My friend has Chromebook, and it is terrible in that operating system. Sometimes it randomly makes documents available offline even after I turn off this feature.
