Square POS Review as Restaurant Employee

Economical point of sale

良いポイント:

This point of sale has no monthly fees, it only charges when the point of sale is used. I like that.

I don't like that they charge a different rate if I insert the card details directly

Great for Small Businesses

製品を使ってみた感想： Overall I liked the app for what it is. I feel like the percentage of sales it takes is a little much, especially for the simplicity of it. We mainly used square for running the bar which is not good for a fast paced environment. When running the merch area it was fine, as it isnt as busy when searching for items. Great if you are just starting out.

Square is super easy to use and is great for small businesses.

On the app, we had to manually enter the card number because the "tap" feature wasnt the best while doing transactions. The square device itself was always breaking and not reading the credit card correctly.

Faulty equipment

製品を使ってみた感想： Terrible and would never recommend. Extremely hard to receive immediate help from a knowledgeable representative.

Loved it when it worked . But I kept having to replace hardware.

Poor quality equipment and extremely hard to reach for a qualified person to answer queries. When you call you get a person who has to keep putting you on hold to get an answer and then after taking up over 1/2 hour of your time you have gotten v nowhere! Extremely frustrating.

Square Point of Sale is Easy to Use

製品を使ってみた感想： I felt my overall experience with Square Point of Sale was smooth and easy to learn. I used the Square Point of Sale for one location of business, I have about 25 products I'm tracking inventory on. I make adjustments to discounts. These functions were easy to figure out how to use without using any help features or stressing out. Square Point of Sale system was also very easy to use on my iPhone and it has many options for accepting payments as far as different hardward is concerned. You don't need hardware either, you can use an iphone and use the Square Point of Sale app to process payments for your customers. I prefer the actual Square because sometimes people don't have the tap to pay option if they don't have their Apple wallet set up properly or don't how to process payments that way.

Square Point of Sale is very easy to set up and use. The interface is very clean. I have used the Wix point of sale system which has a busier UI and is slightly more difficult to use. If someone is using a point of sale system for the first time, between Wix and Square, I think Square would be easier for them.

改善してほしい点:

I didn't find anything I didn't like about it. I think that there's always a learning curve with any new point of sale system.

EASY TO USE AND HAVE MY MONEY THE NEXT DAY. I CAN CHECK MY HISTORY ANY TIME AND BALANCING TO QUICKBOOKS IS VERY HELPFUL.

I do not use my square to its full potential, only because I do not need all of the great features

Square Point of Sale is Reliable and Easy to Use, But Beware

製品を使ってみた感想： Our overall experience with Square POS was either one extreme or the other. We were reasonably happy customers for four years, minimal complaints, and then dumped on our butts without warning. Three years earlier we were contacted by Square POS and asked to remove glass product from our POS, and we complied, so I'm honestly not sure why, years later, as loyal customers we weren't even given the courtesy of a phone call or email explaining what the issue actually was.

Our setup was Square POS for the brick & mortar piece of our store, then we had another software acting as our master of inventory between our store, and website, which was hosted on a different, more robust ecommerce platform than Square. I feel it's fair to say that Square kept its promise in terms of its uptime, and ease of use. We rarely had issue with Square POS being down, though it did happen for a few hours here and there, but again, well within their uptime promise.

What did I like least about Square POS? That would be the time Square, with zero notice, pulled the plug on our store and website as a credit card processor, leaving us without any modern way to process payments. Customer service IS part of the deal, right? Well, when I contacted Square about this, I was not given a reason, or the ability to appeal the decision. I was simply told to move on to a different solution, and no further information would be provided.

Loving Square Point of Sale

Square Point of Sale has been very easy to use, easy to integrate and wonderful for keeping track of day-to-day sales. Very low customer complaints, and no problems during in-person sales. Hand-held device is very convenient, easy to transport and take to different locations

改善してほしい点:

Given the NYS laws, and how/what our orders are, we are not a fan of the $0.x cent charge per order- would be much easier to just have the flat percentage. Also given the nature of our business, would be helpful to have a straight charge, not different for "card present" or not.

Outdated and frustrating to integrate

製品を使ってみた感想： Frustrating generally, trying to integrate with online systems like Wordpress or quickbooks is not what it should be. These aren't small or niche softwares that are trying to be integrated, Square seems to be living in the software of 10-20 years ago.

Total pain to integrate with other bits of software, really outdated on premises software that doesn't play well with online solutions.

Square Point of Sale helps you manage your daily operations

製品を使ってみた感想： Square Point of Sale made managing my daily sales items sold reporting, sales-tax, tips, and credit card sales a very easy task. Monthly and annual reports were also easy to review which mad tax reporting easier.

良いポイント:

I like the option of the menu where you can have specific items on the screen rather than having to scroll through a list. Also using the options worked great for my coffee shop. I could press the Latte button, and had all the options including add-on prices automatically add without having to add up the cost and then enter the price.

改善してほしい点:

I would like the option of more, but smaller buttons on the main menu. I had discount buttons also programmed (teacher’s and police) because I was near a school and gave teachers a 10% discount, and also gave uniformed police and firefighters a 30% discount, which took two product items off the main menu.

Used for over a decade

It’s fast and easy to use. Your product inventory, including pictures of your products is right there to ensure accuracy. You can take it with you.

I haven’t had a bad experience. It does what I need it to do.

Evergreen Weed and Pest Control Services

製品を使ってみた感想： It's great for home service and field work when you need payment at the site.

良いポイント:

Ability to offer CC on-site, invoice payment on clients on via phone, tablet, or computer, and auto reminders of upcoming payments. ALso, I like the software integration with my Field Route Optimizer.

改善してほしい点:

if you accidentally scroll too far up in an invoice, contract, or estimate it auto-refreshes and deletes everything you just did.

My only POS

製品を使ってみた感想： Overall I enjoy using Squares point of sale when taking payments from customers. It is user friendly and customers love it.

I love being able to take electronic payments when I am at events selling my work.

Sometimes the POS is delayed when there is not a good connection. I would love for it to still work as great in an offline mode outside of typing customers' information.
